Taylor Swift
The Eras Tour
2023-06-09
It has taken 17 years, but Taylor Swift finally came full circle to Detroit's Ford Field. In 2006, Taylor sang the National Anthem at a sold out Thanksgiving Day game. Friday night, Taylor was back at Ford Field, this time for a sold out event of her own. Seventeen year later, and with seventeen years worth of music behind her, Taylor brought her sold out ERAS TOUR to the 40,000+ happy fans. If you have ever seen the Lions play than you know how loud Ford Field can get. But a stadium full of beer drinking football fans doesn't even come close the noise that can be generated by a crowd of mostly teenage girls when they finally get to see their idol live. With every stop on the tour selling out, this appreciation for Taylor has been repeated night after night and city after city. Taylor puts on an event. It's more than just a concert, it's a... Milwaukee Metal Fest 2023
Festival Review
2023/05/26-28
Usually when you hear there is going to be a "Metal Fest", people automatically assume "Metal Mayhem!", but Day 1 of the one and only Milwaukee Metal Fest went off without a hitch and it was absolutely one of the best metal festivals I have ever been too! Despite a few delays, which is bound to happen any time you have thousands of fans showing up at the same time, the festival was very well organized and completely focused on keeping fans safe and happy. I honestly saw Zero issues at the festival and they let the fans have a good time in a completely controlled chaos atmosphere! The Day 1 headliner was none other then Biohazard, with all the original members! Let me tell you, so many people were excited for this! Before they came out, the new owner of Milwaukee Metal Fest, Jamey Jasta, singer of Hate Breed, came out to say "Hi" to the crowd and "Thank You" to everyone for coming out. He mentioned how even he was excited to have Biohazard come out and shred on stage! They honestly did not disappoint and I was blown away by their set! The lighting was fantastic, the energy was mind blowing, and they sounded just perfect! You could tell a ton of fans felt the same way. If they weren't moshing, they were... Click to Read More......

The Second Annual Sueños Music Festival is once again returning to Grant Park! This 2 day El Festival Latino event is one of Chicago's largest and it's exciting see see it back! The Sueños Music Festival has been described as the Lollapalooza of Latino music and will once again take place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 27th and May 28th). This year's line-up see the return of Wisin Y Yandel, El Alfa, Myke Towers, DJ Fredy Fresco, DJ Dynamiq and DJ Miriam, along with a large variety of artists who have never played the Sueños Music Festival in the past. Crawlers
2022-11-02
Just 30 minutes before doors opened at the O2 Islington on November 2, the Crawlers page tweeted out the following:
The crowd understood the assignment. Taking the stage like a badass trio of "Powerpuff Girls", backed by their drummer,
the fronting three ladies immediately commanded the attention - and screaming vocal cords - of the room. With her punk pigtails
bobbing and a self assured fuck you attitude, lead singer...

Cassia
2022-10-20
What do a pastel suit, a fishing vest, and a windbreaker have in common? The band members of Cassia on stage during their sold out, tour ending London show at Koko on October 20th. With each member of the three piece band dominating their sector of the fern-filled stage, the Manchester band played a thrilling 18 song set filled with the likes of hits "Right There", "Slow", and "Similar". The entrance was a dramatic black out, broken with white strobes revealing drummer Jacob Leff with his drumstick in the air. On the beat, he began to play "Morning's Coming", joined by lead vocalist Rob Ellis and bassist Lou Cotterill. After the black and white opening, the lighting took a much more colorful turn. With a nod to their most recent album cover for their July 2022 release Why You Lacking Energy?, the dominating color scheme for the night was a rich blend of sunset oranges and neon teals muted by the most haze I’ve ever seen... The 1975 - BFIAFL Album Review
2022-10-14
After a rather lukewarm reception for their fourth album and a pandemic-induced multi-year hiatus, The 1975 had a fanbase waiting in the wings with anticipation for what was to come. And after previewing "Being Funny in a Foreign Language" this week, the band's promo wasn't lying when they said this was "The 1975 At Their Very Best". Doing away with the more experimental elements of their fourth album, 2020's "Notes on a Conditional Form", as well as nearly halving the songs, BFIAFL makes the listener feel as if they are in the room with their band. Orchestral strings, signature saxophone lines, and reminiscent 80's pop sounds permeate the 11 track album. Opening with their namesake track, "The 1975", fans can expect something different from the first three albums both lyrically and musically. In being produced by Jack Antonoff, "The 1975", and "Looking For Somebody (To Love)" could both fit quite comfortably amongst a Bleacher's tracklist as well... Click to Read More......

blackbear - Concert Review
2022-09-17
Blackbear is currently on tour and I was so happy that he brought his Nothing Matters Tour to Chicago. It’s definitely something! As a fan of blackbear, I was really excited to finally see him play live. He had a really interesting stage set up which I haven't seen done yet! The stage was 2 giant LED Screens, one directly behind blackbear and one was like a small stage that he would stand up on or come down from. It was really neat and a lot of fun to see since it feels like the majority of artists who come to the Aragon Ballroom don't really do huge stage setups. His tour lighting was also super bright and fun. Hearing the crowd cheer, it seemed like the fans absolutely loved it! I also want to give blackbear a huge round of applause for doing the longest setlist for a solo artist that I have seen in a minute. The 23 song set consisted of a mix of originals, selected covers and songs he is featured on or did with other artists! He even had fans join him on stage for some songs, such as having 2 fans joining him to sing "DO, RE, MI", which definitely something that I'm sure they will never... Click to Read More......

The Retaliators - Movie Review
2022-09-13
"When do the sins of a good man make him bad?" This is the question at the center of the new thriller/horror film The Retaliators. The Retaliators is a production from Better Noise Films, a branch of Better Noise Music known for their roster of bands including: Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach, From Ashes To New, and Tempt; all of who are featured on the film's soundtrack. The film tells the story of an upstanding pastor who uncovers a dark and twisted underworld in his small New Jersey town, as he searches for answers surrounding his daughters brutal murder. With cameos from some of the biggest names in rock music (Ivan Moody, Zoltan Bathory, and Chris Kale of Five Finger Death Punch, Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe, and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach) to name a few - combined with a high-octane original soundtrack from Better Noise Music artists... Summerfest '22 Festival Review
2022
Billing itself as "The World's Largest Music Festival", a title which has been certified by Guinness World Records, Summerfest really is on a different level of festivals. Summerfest '22 was probably one of the best festivals I have ever attended. Not only because of the unique and wide variety of the lineup but also for the food, the art, and the people who help put this festival together! This was my first year doing Summerfest, and honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I got to the gates everyone working was so helpful when it came to answering all my questions and helping me out when I didn’t know where I was going! I also really appreciate that Summerfest has an App, and it helped me more than I would like to admit! I loved that it would alert me when an act I wanted to see was getting ready to go on. It also had a full map of all of the stages and how to get to them as well as the food vendors and where local artists were setup and selling their creations! Something that I found unique about Henry Maier Festival Park, where Summerfest is located, is that there is chair lift that will carry you from one end of the festival to the other. I saw people riding it constantly and it's somewhat of a... Click to Read More......

Olivia Rodrigo - Concert Review
2022-07-06
Scored by One Direction’s "Olivia", a light suddenly shone upon the velvet purple curtain covering the stage at the Eventim Apollo on July 6, 2022. The light had only two words, enough to make the vastly teenaged crowd scream at the top of their lungs... "Sour Tour". Suddenly the lights began to flash in time with the punchy guitar of opening track brutal and the curtains finally parted to reveal pop's newest princess, Olivia Rodrigo. The stage was set to look like a high school prom, complete with shiny streamers and side stage bleachers. Upon it, Rodrigo took us on a journey of the highest highs and lowest lows of being a teen experiencing her first real heartbreak. It was this story that gained her the cult fanbase that now camped overnight for the show, and the crowd jubilantly celebrated Rodrigo's growth with her at her second to last date on the Sour Tour. The night was full of surprises, including two scenery drops, a costume change, and a cameo from Natalie Imbruglia during a rendition of "Torn". It was hard to tell that the 19-year old singer songwriter had never... Click to Read More......
